Firecracker Recipe

Firecracker Edibles Recipe Josh Pinkerton [@herenowforeverjosh]

While smoking Cannabis through a bong with some ice will always be my preferred method, it is still fun and worthwhile to explore other methods of consumption. Many people who don’t like smoking Cannabis but still want the effects of the flower are able to realize this goal by making or purchasing edibles. A common edible that anyone can make at home is called a Firecracker, and the recipe and instructions are below.

To make a firecracker, you need to start by Decarboxylating your flower. This is an important step and if you don’t do it, you won’t get the full effects of your flower. Heat activates the Cannabinoids in your flower, which is what gives you the effects of feeling high, so that’s why you need to stick your flower in the oven at 240 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30-40 minutes. The amount of flower you use is up to you, but I recommend .25 grams per cracker you make.

Once your flower has been decarboxylated, or decarbed for short, you can remove it from the oven. Take note that it will be light brown and crumble easily now. At this time, you should turn your oven up to 325 degrees and then spread some peanut butter or nutella on a cracker, and then sprinkle your decarbed flower. Use a knife to spread it evenly over the cracker and then put the whole cracker on a baking sheet and back into the oven for 25 minutes. At this time, you can enjoy your delicious stoner snack! Feel free to explore and experiment with different fats if peanut butter or nutella don’t work for your taste buds!
